It seemed impossible for me to change but I was renewed!

Brother Jaekwang Lee, age 18, 12th grader, Manmin Central Church

I was born into a Christian family but after I entered middle school, I began to skip worship services and instead went to Internet café or karaoke. I became aggressive as I joined the school wrestling team. When I was a 9th grader, I injured my arm and had to stop wrestling. I failed in entering the high school that I had wanted to go to. I felt so empty.

In the meantime I voluntarily attended Special Daniel Prayer Meeting for the first time in October 2015. I could not pray well at first, but as I attended every night, I began to taste the power of prayer through experience of God's answers. I was once puzzled because tears and runny nose did not stop while I was praising. Moreover, in the award ceremony, my prayer card was chosen in the drawing of lots and I was given the award. This made me more earnest for spiritual things.

In May 2016, Students Sunday School visited Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee's prayer house at his invitation. I was excited and happy to see Senior Pastor at a close distance whom I had seen only on screen during worship services. I received his prayer for my atopic dermatitis there. He laid his hand on the affected part very gently not to cause pain. I felt his consideration for me and shed tears.

I also felt his earnest heart for my renewal and shed many tears. Afterwards, I was given strength to stop pursuing worldly pleasure such as movies, TV, online games, and interest in friends of the opposite gender.

Since then, I have felt God's love in every moment of my life, and my hope for New Jerusalem has increased. I have studied hard to become the source of joy to the shepherd although I had given it up before. I was given a precious duty as a mission president of 2018. I give all thanks to God, the Lord and the shepherd who changed me.
